HI-Eisai Pharmaceutical, Inc. is a subsidiary of the Eisai Group which is present in Asia, US, Europe and recently in BRICS countries such as Brazil, Mexico and Russia,

with over 10,000 employees globally.

In the Philippines, Eisai has partnered with the Yuchengco Group of Companies and has distinguished itself as a human health care company better known as HI-Eisai Pharmaceutical, Inc.

Nihon Eisai Co., Ltd. was established in December 1941 through a merger just before the Pacific War, with a capital of ¥180,000. This merger complied with wartime regulations. In December 1944, Nihon Eisai merged with Sakuragaoka Laboratory, forming Eisai. This consolidation was part of wartime policies to streamline Japanese industry during World War II. As a result, Eisai continued its operations under this name, marking a significant milestone in its history.

This joint venture brought together the expertise and resources of both organizations, resulting in the establishment of HI-Eisai to serve the healthcare needs of the Philippines and beyond.

The well-being of patients and their families are at the center of our vision and mission at HI-Eisai. To ensure that we increase the benefits that healthcare provides, it is the responsibility of every member of the organization to listen and learn from patients. This is the foundation of our human health care concept.

It is our corporate responsibility to make meaningful contributions to the development of the health care system in the Philippines and to make sure that patients receive the best response to their needs. Integrity is the living up to legal, moral and ethical principles in the conduct of HI-Eisai Pharmaceutical Inc. business. It means that each employee embodies the value of integrity, and therefore represents the company in honesty and rectitude in all the ways they do their work.

It is expected that each employee would make decisions guided by good judgement, not just for one‘s self, but for HI-Eisai as the company. An employee who acts with integrity ensures that he has understanding of the principles by which the company operates, and in situations where he lacks clarity, will actively seek guidance.

Respect

The company is committed to ensure that it maintains a safe, inclusive, and healthy working environment that promotes productivity among employees.
