Joint Utilization of Personal Information

Eisai jointly utilizes personal information with specific third parties (“Joint Utilization”) in the manner or for the purposes listed below.

In the event that Eisai jointly utilizes personal information for purposes other than those listed below, Eisai will inform the individual of, or publicly announce on this Website, such purpose of Joint Utilization.

Section 1. Personal Information of Healthcare Personnel (excluding personal information set forth in Section 2 below)

(1) Categories of Jointly Utilized Personal Information

Name, date of birth and gender, workplace information (name, location, phone number and e-mail address), field of specialization, department affiliation, position and/or rank, assigned duties, place of birth, alma mater and year graduated, professional qualifications (including year obtained), classification of clinic opening and year opened, membership in academic societies and/or organizations, browsing history of Eisai’s websites for healthcare personnel, and any information, other than those set forth above, necessary for the appropriate and smooth communication with healthcare personnel

(2) Scope of Third Parties Jointly Utilizing Personal Information

1. Eisai’s subsidiaries and affiliate companies; and
2. Pharmaceutical companies and any other organizations which Eisai has alliances with.

(3) Purpose of Joint Utilization

1. In the event of Joint Utilization with Eisai’s subsidiaries and affiliate companies:

2. In the event of Joint Utilization with pharmaceutical companies and any other organizations with which Eisai has alliances:

(3) Purpose of Joint Utilization

1. Provision of information related to communication of safety information and revisions to patient information leaflets;
2. Provision, collection and review of information related to the appropriate use of medicines, diagnostics, medical devices and other products;
3. Ascertaining where medicines, medical devices and other products are used, and establishing communications networks;
4. Provision, collection and review of medical information and scientific information in the fields of medicine and pharmaceutical sciences;
5. Provision, collection and review of information to support starting a business and management of such business;
6. Provision, collection and review of information to support the digitalization of medical information;
7. Surveys on the usage of medicines, diagnostics, medical devices and other products, as well as consumer needs and other issues;
8. Support for epidemiological surveys and researches in the fields of medicine and pharmaceutical sciences;
9. Authentication and administration of facilities, doctors, dentists and pharmacists for health consultations; or
10. Account authentication and account management of websites for doctors, dentists and pharmacists.

The same purposes set forth in Utilization Purpose of “Personal Information of Directors, Officers, Employees and Any Other Personnel of Companies (including, without limitation, Manufacturing and Marketing Companies, Manufacturers, Retailers, Wholesalers of Medicines and Other Products) with which Eisai has Transactional Relationships in the Course of its Business; and Directors, Officers, Employees, Other Personnel of Companies or Any Other Organizations and Sole Proprietor with which Eisai has Relationships in the Course of its Business Operations or Industry Activities”

(3) Purpose of Joint Utilization

1. Application, registration and executions of rights for inventions, ideas, designs, and other intellectual property and other related procedures thereof;
2. Processing of payments such as incentives, royalties and considerations for the assignment of inventions or any other developments; or
3. Submission and reporting to public agencies, etc.
